Local workout warrior primed for Ironman challenge

Workout World store manager pushes his passion for fitness

When John Procopis from specialist fitness equipment retailer Workout World isn’t selling quality home fitness equipment he can be usually be seen pounding the pavement at Mc Carrs Creek, Akuna Bay or West Head, training tirelessly for his fourth Ironman Australia Triathlon that begins in Port Macquarie on April 4.

A passionate advocate of the need for regular physical exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle, John has managed specialist fitness equipment Workout World at Brookvale (corner of Warringah and Pittwater Road) for the past six months and is always setting his personal fitness goals higher.

"I love the extreme challenge that triathlons offer and I believe these events provide you with a test of just how strong you can be," John said.
