Workout World supports heart health awareness through Heart Foundation national sponsorship strategy

Australia's leading fitness equipment retailer, Workout World, is proud to announce a national sponsorship agreement with the Heart Foundation that will help the organisation meet its challenge of improving Australians' heart health and reducing disability and death from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease.

Workout World is contributing $50,000 towards The Heart Foundation, which will assist the independent charity fully realise its vision: for Australians to have the best cardiovascular health in the world.

Workout World marketing manager Mark Garrahy says the company is proud to support The Heart Foundation, a respected charity that works tirelessly to fund world-class research into heart disease, supports health professionals and promotes heart health in the wider Australian community.

"Workout World is excited to partner with the Heart Foundation and we look forward to pooling our strengths and fully supporting heart health awareness nationally, educating the public about the importance of exercise and how this contributes towards optimum heart health."

According to The Heart Foundation, cardiovascular disease is one of Australia's most devastating health problems that claims a life nearly every 10 minutes - currently 34 per cent of all deaths. It also adversely affects the quality of life of one in five Australians or more than 3.5 million people.

Through the Workout World sponsorship, the company will support various fundraising activities of the Heart Foundation at a local and national level. Workout World will assist in keeping Australians informed about achieving their healthy weight goals through the distribution of information booklets on heart health in Workout World's 35 stores across Australia and raising and donating vital funds for the organisation.
